As managing partner of DCDM Law Group, PC, Dheeraj K. Singhal oversees all clients matters, as well as the business operations of the law firm. In that capacity, he also manages a growing team of consummate professionals, each dedicated to helping individuals and small business with today’s bankruptcy and debt relief issues.
By virtue of his experience working at a large international law firm, and later at a mid-sized firm, Dheeraj has a wide practice base, one that includes insolvency law, litigation and transactions. The collective experiences enable him to advise his clients in a way that takes possible litigation risk into account, as well as what would happen if his clients had to later seek protection under US bankruptcy laws.
Within the realm of insolvency law, he handles a wide range of Chapter 7, 11 and 13 bankruptcy proceedings – for both corporations and individuals, with a focus on handling business bankruptcy reorganizations under Chapter 11. He is a trusted advisor to companies who need to reorganize their affairs such that they can emerge out of bankruptcy as a profitable enterprise that enables people to keep their jobs and ensures creditors are paid more than if the company were to be liquidated in a chapter 7 business bankruptcy. He also assists clients in acquiring distressed assets through bankruptcy.
In litigation, he has been involved with disputes spanning many areas of law, including general commercial business disputes, breaches of contract, patent infringement, trademark and copyright infringement, False Claims Act, real estate and entertainment law.
As a transactional lawyer, he has assisted clients with forming and dissolving corporations, licensing intellectual property rights and completing acquisitions. He has worked on small deals, as well as large multimillion dollar transactions.
Regardless of the type and size of matter, his personalized, one-on-one approach to practicing law focuses on each client’s unique needs. It’s one of the many ways he improves the chances that the company will successfully avoid bankruptcy altogether, or if it becomes necessary, to emerge from bankruptcy as a profitable business, Those business insights make him highly sought after for small companies who need to reorganize their affairs.
Prior to founding DCDM Law Group, PC, Dheeraj practiced at a large and a mid-sized law firm. He also served in the law department of the world’s largest energy company.
He has been recognized as a Top Attorney by the Pasadena Magazine, which asks attorneys to vote for fellow attorneys who are known to be the best in their chosen area. Dheeraj has received the honor in 2010 and 2011.
Dheeraj is a highly credentialed legal professional. He earned his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering at UCLA and his J.D. from the UC Davis School of Law. He is a member of the State Bar of California and the Pasadena Bar Association.
In his free time, he enjoys the time he spends with his two children. Each week during soccer season, he looks forward to coaching his son’s AYSO soccer team. He is also an avid kickboxer.
