Gary L. Dennis is an associate at DCDM Law Group. Gary brings a practical “real world” perspective to the practice, believing that “street smarts” are just as integral to the practice of law as intellectual aptitude.

This approach served Gary well in law school. In May of 2010 he graduated Southwestern Law School, Magna Cum Laude. In addition, Gary received the CALI Award, which is awarded to the student who earns the highest grade in a given course, on seven occasions. Gary also served on the Board of the Southwestern Law Review, holding the position of Lead Articles Editor.

Following a life-long passion of helping underprivileged children, Gary staffed the Southwestern Law School Children’s Rights Clinic, where he advocated for low-income children with mental and emotional disabilities.

While attending law school full-time, Gary clerked at Cohen & Rudd, a prestigious plaintiff’s law firm in Pasadena. At Cohen & Rudd, Gary clerked under the tutelage of two physicians turned Harvard-trained attorneys who vigorously represented clients that were catastrophically injured by medical negligence. At Cohen & Rudd Gary was exposed to a highly technical and demanding field where medical and legal expertise often intersect.

After being admitted to the California State Bar in 2010, Gary continues to determinedly represent his clients in a Business and Commercial Litigation setting. At DCDM, Gary has worked on an array of business litigation matters ranging from complex commercial transactions to securities fraud.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Gary was a dedicated children’s mental health counselor. His clients included children of all ages that suffered from all forms of physical and mental abuse. He worked in both clinical and home settings to help families overcome the effects of such damaging abuse. Gary continues to bring this client oriented approach to his legal practice, always with an eye towards the human element of practicing law.

In his off-time Gary prefers to be outdoors and is an exercise enthusiast. He appreciates the mental focus and self-discipline that sports and athletics require, and believes that physical and mental fitness should complement each other. Aside from hiking, running, climbing, or working the heavy bag at the gym, Gary spends his time partaking in mini-adventures with his four year old daughter.
